The sun shines

People forget
The spray flies as the speedboat glides
People forget…they’re hiding
Behind an eminence front

The drinks flow
People forget
That big wheel spins, the hair thins
People forget…

The news slows
People forget
The shares crash, hopes are dashed

People forget

The Approaching Deluge

I found this image on a dormant Posterous blog owned by BackType co-founder Mark Montano. Prior to acquisition by Twitter on 5 July 2011, BackType was a social media marketing company funded by Y Combinator, among others. I miss BackType. I liked the interface and even used the API.

Twitter has purchased many third-party services in the past few months. It remains unclear what Twitter’s business model is. How will Twitter generate revenue as a going concern?

Mark Montano posted the photo above without a caption or any remarks. That doesn’t really matter though. I think it captures trending sentiment quite well.
